Our words and thoughts must testify of a Christ like character in order to call Christ our Redeemer, i.e. Savior from sin.

Often the hearts (minds) of God's people were not right with God, because they forgot Him. Count the many ways God has blessed you, and always remember that He is our Rock, our Shield, Redeemer, and Friend, and keep your minds stayed on Him.

Christ is our redeemer. He shed His blood for us so that we may have forgiveness of sin. And like the Priest in the earthly temple, with the blood of animals, Jesus officiates in the Heavenly temple with His own blood.

Our Redeemer is the only true God among many gods.

Along with this verse, John 1:3 confirms that Jesus was the creator of all things. Jesus is worthy of our praise.

When Christians (Christ like people) die, they can be sure that when Christ comes the 2nd time they will be raised to everlasting life, because Jesus came to the earth the 1st time and paid the penalty for our sins.

Jesus came the 1st time in our sinful likeness to pay the penalty for our sins, and so He could be our example in how to overcome sin.
