The devil wants to destroy our faith we must resist him, keep praying and trusting in God.

5. They cried unto thee, and were delivered: they trusted in thee, and were not confounded.

In the Bible, sometimes the fathers cried out and received reverses instead of deliverance, but they continued to cry out until deliverance was received. (Judges 20:18-28) So don't be discouraged, continue asking until your change comes.
