Daily Bible Verses 59

Written In the Law Of Moses
And The Prophets

Daily bible verses 59

Acts 24:13-14 King James Version (KJV)

13. Neither can they prove the things whereof they now accuse me.

14. But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets:

Paul believed and preached that Jesus was the Christ or Messiah as stated in the Old Testament, even though it was considered heresy.

Daily Bible Verses 59
Like Paul and the other disciples we should not be embarrassed or afraid to witness for Christ.

2 Timothy 1:8-12 King James Version (KJV)

8. Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;

9. Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

10. But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:

11. Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.

12. For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

Daily Bible Verses 59
The Law of Moses and the prophets
Let our witness be based on the word of God, the BIBLE. Even if some disagree the word is true, and those that want to know truth will hear and understand it.

Acts 28:22-28 King James Version (KJV)

22. But we desire to hear of thee what thou thinkest: for as concerning this sect, we know that every where it is spoken against.

23. And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening.

24. And some believed the things which were spoken, and some believed not.

25. And when they agreed not among themselves, they departed, after that Paul had spoken one word, Well spake the Holy Ghost by Esaias the prophet unto our fathers,

26. Saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and not perceive:

27. For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

28. Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it.

Daily Bible Verses 59
The Jews did not want to hear that Jesus was the Messiah, even though it was shown them in the word of God, their own spiritual book, so the message was given to the Non-Jews. So let us hear and understand the word of the Lord.
